Spending time with your besties can be some of the greatest times ever. And sleepovers, they can take the cake! Hanging out, watching movies, eating yummy food…
So we thought we’d ask a few 15-year-old Bella readers for their tips and ideas for a fun-filled sleepover!
What makes for the best sleepover? What's the best sleepover you have ever been to and what made it great?
My idea of a perfect sleepover would be a night with my favourite friends. We would listen to music, paint our nails, do our hair, watch lots of movies, eat chips, chocolate and ice cream sundaes, talk non-stop and get very little in the way of sleep!
I have been to so many great sleepovers I couldn't pick one as my favourite. It is always interesting to be included in someone else's family for a night. Sometimes they have annoying siblings, sometimes really cute ones. Some parents let you talk all night and some try to make you sleep. There is always great food and lots of laughs.
One of the best memories I have from a sleepover is making movies. It was so good because it was different from what you normally do at a sleepover. We dressed up in funky costumes and pretended to be actresses. We made up a story and each played a part. The end result was terrible. So bad it was hilarious. It was very fun to do but I don't think we should do it as a living!
Being with your closest friends and just hanging out with them. The best sleepover I had was with five of my best friends and we laid under the stars and talked for hours.
The best sleepover is made with the best company. People who you can be yourself around and have some good laughs with. Chocolate, lots of Pillows, pampering and pizza can make for some of the best sleep overs as well.
One of the best sleep overs I have had is when we built a fortress out of chairs, blankets and pillows then slept inside. We were all trying to say stuff in weird voices and then mimic each other, it was hilarious. That night we also had pizza and lots of ice-cream which is always a sleepover essential.
The best sleepover is made up of enormous amounts of food that is probably not the best for you, a pillow fight, lots and lots of chick flicks or hilarious movies, selfies, Deep and Meaningful conversations, Games like Truth or Dare, laughter, memories, and of course those special friends that you wouldn't be able to live without. Actually to be honest, you don't need much at all, you just need those special friends to make it amazing.
Even if you are just lying on the grass with a pillow and a blanket, if you are with an amazing friend that you love and enjoy spending time with, then everything you need is there. Spending time with your friend should not just be about having the biggest and best party ever. It's about having the time of your life because you are with that person.
I remember the best time I ever spent with my friend was in a tree shaking a branch. We laughed for more than forty minutes, and it wasn’t just the weak laugh that you have when your dad says a fatherly joke and you don't want to hurt his feelings. It was the laugh that gives your abdominal muscles a workout, the one that makes your eyes tear up, the one that makes your friend laugh and then you start laughing all over again - just pure joy and happiness.
The best sleepovers are the ones you can share with people you care about the most, like best friends or cousins or anyone close to you - when you can be yourself and feel comfortable. Sleepovers are great when you can stay up really late, eat heaps of junk food, watch movies and sleep in the same room.
It also makes for a great sleepover if you can convince your brother to go to his friend’s house for a sleepover so he won't annoy you. I have been to many great sleepovers over the years and all of them have been great because I have the best friends in the world.
