It’s that time of year, things are heating up and winding down. Does anyone else feel like they’re running out of steam? It has been a big year. You can almost smell holidays coming on the breeze, but there is still that last push to finish the year well. Look around and you’ll notice a lot of people look weary this time of year. We can get tetchy, impatient, hungry for the sweet, happy sigh of relief the holidays bring. It can feel like squeezing the last juice out of a lemon, but it's worth the effort for the refreshing lemonade you know is coming.
We want to encourage you to have a spirit of endurance this month. Endurance is about going the distance. This takes smarts, and a different kind of strength than boldness does. Endurance is about balance, and knowing yourself. Endurance is being committed to the end, digging deep and pushing through the pain. Sometimes it means moving slowly, being calm, aware, gentle with yourself and those around you. Taking time to rest and do things that nourish your body, mind and spirit.
Endurance is never giving up, even when we stuff up and have to accept things didn’t go how we hoped. Carry yourself well this month, you beautiful, strong girls. Try for elegance, generosity and calm, even though you feel tired, bothered and like you’ve had enough of this year, thanks. Run with endurance, and we’ll be running with you.
