If you are like most girls you want to be the best in your class, on top of everything. Don’t worry, most people do, even guys.
But what do you think might happen if you stopped competing - just a little?
Have you ever been put into a group for an assignment with someone you are always fighting with? You know if you don’t work together you will probably fail. But working with someone, rather than competing, doesn’t only help with marks.
I had to get along with someone I have had trouble with and one day she let me to use her phone charger, which I desperately needed. Getting along with others can sometimes get you out of a jam!
Bigger problems can also be helped by girls who aren’t your friends. Imagine if your pet died and the next day that girl you often have problems with says her pet recently died too. Not only could she relate to you, she might even be able to help you deal with it in a way none of your friends can. And a friendship may form from it.
So isn’t it time to stop competing and start supporting other girls? One just might become your best friend!
